To Have and To Hold (2008)

In 1996 I was on tour with Philip Glass in Naples, Italy when Harold Meltzer, the creator behind Sequitur, an ambitious ensemble dedicated to new music by his peers, asked me to compose a piece for their next concert. My Goddess is the result. I wrote the text as well as the music.

While the piece was composed and premiered in 1996-7, the recording only came out in 2008.
