“Meditation 1 was originally composed as the 4th movement of my Suite for String Quartet. When it was being prepared for performance by the Hungarian ensemble, Accord Quartet, someone suggested to me that it would make a great string orchestra piece on its own. It didn’t take long for me to create this arrangement and very soon after, it was chosen to be a part of the Masterworks series of Sir Ian Winstin.”
